Projects Miami Dade TPO

CGA was selected as one of the General Planning Consultants for the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan, significantly impacting Miami-Dade County’s transit system. Our focus was on the South Dade Transitway Corridor Study, covering approximately 20 miles from the Dadeland South Metrorail Station to Florida City. We provided comprehensive traffic engineering, transportation planning, and transit planning and design services, aiding the Miami-Dade TPO in the transportation planning process for the SMART Plan.

Our contribution included developing a Land Use Scenario Plan, undertaking thorough transit planning, and executing various transportation-related technical activities. These tasks were enhanced by interactive Charrettes, 3D Modeling, and extensive public outreach. The main goal of our involvement was to create transit-supportive land use scenarios, ultimately aimed at improving mobility and connectivity in Miami- Dade County, demonstrating our commitment to advancing community transit solutions.
